Mosques and prayer rooms present specific challenges for sound reinforcement. Large open areas, hard reflective surfaces, domes, high ceilings and long reverberation times can significantly reduce speech intelligibility.

Clear and uniform speech transmission is essential for sermons, prayers, announcements and recitations. Conventional loudspeaker systems often increase sound pressure level without solving the main acoustic problem: too much sound energy is radiated toward walls, ceilings or domes, increasing reverberation and reducing clarity.

The ASCOLTO Solution

AVE ASCOLTO digitally steerable column speakers direct acoustic energy precisely toward the listening areas. DSP-based beam steering allows the sound beam to be electronically aimed without mechanically tilting the loudspeaker.

The column speaker can remain vertically and discreetly integrated into the architecture, while the acoustic beam is directed toward the prayer area. This increases the direct sound component and reduces unnecessary excitation of reflective surfaces.

Depending on the model and project requirements, different listening areas can be supported, such as the main prayer hall, side areas, galleries or additional zones.
