The AVE Line Array User Control Software is a tool for configuring ASCOLTO digitally steerable column loudspeakers. It enables precise beam steering, audience area simulation, application of equalization parameters, and the complete transfer of all settings to the loudspeakers.
Yes. The software provides an advanced multi-device workflow that allows multiple ASCOLTO column loudspeakers to be added to a single project, organized, and individually configured. This greatly simplifies work on larger installations or complex sound reinforcement scenarios.
Yes. The software supports the creation and management of up to 5 independent sound beams (multi-beams). Each beam can be individually aimed, shaped, and assigned its own parameters.
This allows multiple listening areas or levels to be optimally covered at the same time, such as ground floors, balconies, or side seating areas.
Yes. The software supports up to 3 different audience areas (multi-audience), which can be defined independently. Height, depth, tilt, and position can be specified for each area.
This feature simplifies the planning of complex rooms where different listening zones need to be analyzed and optimized separately.
The SPL Listening Plot displays the sound pressure level along the defined audience area. It allows:
This visualization enables more targeted optimization of coverage.
The software offers particularly intuitive handling:
All changes are immediately reflected in the simulation, enabling a fast and intuitive workflow.
Yes. The software includes several shortcuts that significantly speed up setup and editing. For example, beams, audiences, or parameter windows can be quickly opened, closed, or switched without navigating through menus.
This is especially helpful for complex projects or recurring tasks.
The ARS system is designed to reduce side lobes in digitally steerable column loudspeakers. By optimizing beam shaping, ARS minimizes unwanted lateral sound radiation and thus reduces reflections from walls or ceilings. This results in clearer reproduction, especially in reverberant spaces such as churches or large auditoriums.
ARS is controlled directly within the software and affects both the simulation and the final parameters transmitted to the column loudspeaker.
ASCOLTO column loudspeakers support two communication methods:
The software fully supports both options.
When using the Dante network, the software automatically detects all available ASCOLTO column loudspeakers on the network. These can then be assigned to the logical devices defined in the project. RS485 connections are configured manually but offer particularly robust communication.
Yes. Using “Configuration Recall”, global settings can be read directly from the loudspeaker. This is useful for documentation, maintenance, or verification of existing installations.
Yes. The software simulates:
This simulation simplifies planning, fine-tuning, and documentation.
Yes. The software includes a powerful equalizer with classic audio controls and precise graphical marker handling for detailed adjustments.
Yes. The software can generate a comprehensive report, including:
This is particularly useful for installation documentation and acceptance procedures.
Yes. Projects can be fully created and edited offline. A connection to the devices (RS485 or Dante) is only required for transferring or reading settings.
Yes. The software supports all current ASCOLTO digitally steerable column loudspeakers.
Yes. The software is continuously enhanced. New versions regularly improve workflow, ARS functions, multi-beam and multi-audience features, simulation accuracy, usability, and system stability.
